I love to write, draw and make jewelry. I struggle with self-confidence and am slowly beginning to accept that perfection doesn't exist and all one can do is to keep going forward and improving instead of stalling out and giving up.
Sometimes I feel like I was born in the wrong decade but I am learning to let go and let things be. That feels much better than constantly being the uptight "old man" who just can't seek change.
I apologise to everyone who met me in my 20's. Seriously, all of you.
I admire many artists here on DA and elsewhere and am constantly amazed and inspired by people I meet here and in "real life."
A special shout out to Sandy Carruthers, the artist of the original Men in Black comic books. You taught me a lot just being answering my questions and not telling me my art was horrible. (When it was) Thank you for all the e-mails and encouragement.

I keep having dreams about my brother... we are always doing something fun and then we get seperated and I panic, looking for him... :(
I dyed my hair brown. It looks... brown. I guess I wanted it darker so I picked a colour called Espresso... News flash. It's brown. But with more highlites I guess.
I smashed the hell out of my finger but my back feels a little better after 2 trips to the chiropracter. The smashed car is STILL in the shop. Ugh. So mom and dad are using my car to go to Northridge for her appt with an MS specialist.

Oh my GOD...
I got in an accident on Sunday!
It was aweful! I nearly died. I was turning left and due to massive ammounts of water in the road I spun out of control, was headed into oncoming traffic, took evasive action, spun sideways, missed a telephone pole by literally less than an inch and slammed into a fence!
Whee!
Ok. It sucked, I was stuck in the fence for over an hour, the car looks like shit and I hurt all over.
On the other hand, I got straight A's in all 4 classes and I know for damn sure I get to spend Christmas with my brother in law who hates my guts!
Whee!

You know how you feel ok at first. After you've been in an accident?
I mean, the crash, the shock and shaking, the urge to vomit and cry. When that all wears away you feel ok. You're alive, the insurrence will pay for the damages and it's not your fault.
Then it hurts. The little aches and pains, the headaches.
I feel like that.
